A joint venture between Microsoft and Federated media, bing tweets fuses together search queries and real-time tweets as well as trending topics. It even creates separate categories for people, places and products.
Bingtweets allows you to access plain old web searches augmented by what people are saying in real-time. Bingtweets even offers a quick and easy way to share your results with twitter. You can check out the announcement over at the official bing blog.
Bing launched on June 1 as a "decision engine". Initially critics found that users could search for porn using the video clips feature but Microsoft later consolidated this into an explicit section. In the month of June, Bing's traffic soared to above CNN, Digg and Twitter in the US.
Realtime search is the future, and Bing is definitely making steps in the right direction. Will it be enough to get people to switch from Google? Only time will tell, but in the meantime, go check out www.bingtweets.com and let us know what you think in the comments .
