iPhone Tunnel Suite lets you access the iPhone without WiFi as you would for SSH. It’ll let you access using a USB cable or wifi. The iPhone Tunnel Suite supports tethering and all other ssh-possibilities via USB-Cable. With the iPhone Tunnel Suite you can use your iPhone 3G as a 3G-Modem for your PC or your iPhone 2G as a EDGE-Modem.
You can also use your iPod Touch as a WiFi-Antenna.
You just need to use it to create a device in
Tunnel Suite and put your IP address (if you have wifi) and if you do not have wifi, select to Use Tunnel and IP services such as Terminal, iConnect and File Browser are ready.
iPhone Tunnel suite has some compatibility issues with iTunes 8.2 Final. So recommend using iTunes 8.2 beta. Download iTunes 8.2 Beta 72.8 MB
Uninstall iTunes 8.2 Final and install 8.2 beta from above to get it working. Otherwise uninstall the USB drivers.
On Windows > Start menu\ rightclick on my computer pick properties > Hardware\ device manager > then Universial Serial bus Controllers
Make sure you iPhone or iPod is connected double click on the device and pick drivers then rollback or uninstall and trying connecting again to get it working.
